The assessment stands on its own.
You are not required to hire me for the implementation. The goal is to leave you with useful technical information even if another developer or team performs the work.
We start with the situation, not the source code. You tell me what the application does, what changed, what your team knows, and where you're getting stuck.
I review the application architecture, dependencies, deployment process, data layer, integrations, documentation, and the areas most likely to create risk.
You receive an understandable assessment of what you have, what needs attention, what can wait, and where important knowledge or documentation is missing.
With the system understood, you can repair it, modernize it, replace part of it, hand it to another team, or have me help with the next phase.

I've worked across React, TypeScript, Vue, Angular, C#/.NET, SQL Server, Azure, APIs, real-time systems, and complex operational software. The part I enjoy most is understanding how a system actually works and finding a practical way to make it better.
